Smile in Pink

Smile in Pink 2018 Was a Great Success!

Dr. Aimee Skelton and the Skelton Orthodontics team are so thankful for all of our patients who participated in last month's Smile in Pink promotion! Due to your support, Dr. Skelton is going to double her donation and give a grand total of $470 to the breast cancer research foundation.

We are so proud of the community of Fort Payne and the surrounding areas for your passion to help others. We hope to bring many more smiles to the patients and families affected by breast cancer. Thank you again!

SmileStar Voting

The 2018 Top 30 SmileStars have been chosen, and Dr. Skelton and the Skelton Orthodontics team could not be more thrilled about it! We would like to thank everyone who submitted their nomination for the 2018 SmileStar contest. We appreciate you taking the time to submit your smile. They were all amazing!

The Top 30 have been selected and voting starts August 20th. We want the top 10 Skelton Orthodontics SmileStars to best represent Fort Payne and the surrounding areas. We invite YOU to go in and vote for your favorites! Please go online and submit your vote for up to 10 SmileStars. Click HERE to cast your vote, and be sure to share the link with others!

If your smile is not part of this year’s Top 30, we encourage you to try again on our next run of SmileStar! It was a close and hard decision for our panel of judges to choose between all of the beautiful Skelton smiles to only have 30 move on to the next round of voting!

Voting will end on September 28th, and the winners will be announced the following week. Be sure to check back to see who the winners will be!

If you have any questions about this contest please feel free to call the office at (256) 844-8221. We are happy to answer any questions you may have!

smile in pink

Smile in Pink with us!

Dr. Aimee Skelton and her team support Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October with their promotion, Smile in Pink!

How does it work?

Dr. Skelton will donate $1 for each patient who chooses pink bands or power chains on their braces during October appointments. Then, the patient's picture is posted to an album on Facebook so everyone can see who Smiles in Pink! Each patient also signs a certificate showing their support. Those certificates are displayed in the office for the entire month!

Last year we raised over $200 for Breast Cancer Awareness! Show your support this year and Smile in Pink!

SmileStar Spotlight: Meet Meri!

What an honor it has been to have Meri as one of our faces of Skelton Orthodontics over the past two years. We asked her a couple of questions about SmileStar and what her life is like now. Check out her responses below.

Q: What was your favorite part about being a SmileStar?
A: I loved seeing my picture on the website and my friends telling me that they saw my picture at the office!
Q: What is your favorite place to go in Fort Payne?
A: I still love The Spot. I’m a coffee addict :)
Q: Why do/did you enjoy your treatment at Skelton Orthodontics?
A: The staff at Skelton Orthodontics is so friendly! I also enjoy getting compliments on my smile.
Q: Tell us what is new in your life over the past 2 years.
A: Probably the most exciting change is that I recently started working for this company called They provide online general music education resources for students and teachers. It’s a great company with an amazing mission, plus working here also gives me a chance to occasionally perform and be on camera!

Dr. Aimee Skelton and her staff are so excited to introduce more of our 2016 SmileStar patients! We caught up with Meri and learned some fun things about her.

Read Meri's SmileStar interview here!
